Can you believe it? Summer is OVER! We have a great school year lined up with a few new things added. Please read this entire message.
The first day of classes is August 22. Some of you might have seen an earlier start date, but this one is correct.
The School Store and Uniform Plan is up. There are actually two stores: French Toast and Covenant Community Schools. The best way to navigate the school uniform for your children is to start with the Uniform Page for either Boys or Girls Uniforms. If you are unable to click those links, simply copy and paste https://www.covenantcommunityschools.org/uniforms/ into your browser address bar. Check back frequently as new items are being added daily. Embroidered garments can be picked up in the school office. French Toast products will be shipped directly to your home.
New Extended Day Classes for School Age Students in extra-curricular subjects. You must enroll in Extended Care for your children to participate. Contact the office for more information.
We have negotiated an agreement with Treehouse for elective technology courses. These courses will be facilitated by Covenant Christian Academy staff and are available for high school students and adults. For a list of available courses, click here -> https://teamtreehouse.com/library. For more information, contact the school office or email your questions by reply to this letter.
SURPRISE! We have a new classroom suite upstairs that will accommodate approximately 20 students. This modification will permit us to facilitate students in a more modern classroom environment than we have had in the past. With the addition of new online coursework and tech courses, this new classroom will be a great fit for us for several years.
In addition to the surprise above, the First Kinder Company, founded by Dr. Terry Wright and her class last year has commissioned and built a new chicken coop. This new hen house has a capacity for 8 – 12 chickens. Plans are to sell organic eggs to support their Thanksgiving and Christmas gifts to needy families. So, save your empty egg cartons and bring them to school! If you would like to donate a pullet or a hen that is already laying eggs, they would sure appreciate it and probably give you a discount on eggs!
If you have not processed an enrollment application, please go immediately to https://www.covenantcommunityschools.org/get-started/new-student-enrollment/ to enroll for school for the fall term. Classes are filling quickly and we are anticipating being on a waiting list status very soon.
Finally, as every year begins, we find people who are in need. Couple that with the needed renovations we have made, we need your help! If you can donate to either our Needs-based Scholarship Fund or our Facility Fund, please do so today by going online to https://www.covenantcommunityschools.org/donate/. Simply specify in the blank provided (if you wish) the purpose of your donation. You can also send your donation to Covenant Community Schools, 14 Chisholm Trail, Round Rock, TX 78681. 100% of the donations received go to their intended purposes with no administrative fees withheld. Covenant Community Schools is a ministry of Covenant Christian Church, an IRS-recognized 501 (c)(3) Nonprofit Organization. All donations are fully tax-deductible.
