My twins attend pre-k school here and it is absolutely awesome. We love the family home vibe and inside the walls of the school you can feel the love and faith in everything that is done. The teachers are amazing and such a great asset and we thank God everyday for bringing them to teach at this school. Both of my kids are flourishing academically and reading at 4 years old. Best decision we ever made was enrolling them here. ~ CR ~
It has been my great pleasure to have my daughter enrolled at Kingdom Heights Christian School since fall 2012. When we relocated to Round Rock, TX in June of 2012, my husband and I sought a Christian-based environment to further our daughter’s education. It was by luck or Devine intervention, which we happened to drive by Kingdom Heights while traveling from our hotel room to our future residence. The sign on the school advertised for Summer Camp, little did we know how much more we had found. After our very first interaction with Mrs Wright, and later with Pastor Wright, we knew that Kingdom Heights was the place for our daughter.
Our daughter’s strengths are encouraged and any of her shortcomings are fostered to the level of real learning.
After thoroughly enjoying the activities and the fellowship with like-minded children during Summer Camp, our daughter was able to continue her academic growth during the school year. We, only briefly, attempted to send our daughter to public school and the results were disastrous. Not only was our child considered to be only a number, we still have absolutely no idea how she did during those 4 brief months in public school. Being an involved parent, I regularly met with her teacher just prior to school on a weekly basis to make sure the transition was going well. I was assured every week that she was doing well and that there were no issues. When I received her end-of-term report card, the grading system was undecipherable and the explanation, which came with the report card, was in Spanish. This is not our native language and those who put together the report card didn’t seem to care. We decided immediately, that our daughter would go back to Christian-based school.
At Kingdom Heights, our daughter’s strengths are encouraged and any of her shortcomings are fostered to the level of real learning. She is not taught to memorize a standardized test as so many public schools appear forced to do, to receive funding. We get a sense that she is mastering the building blocks of future learning. At any given time, I can talk with her teachers and get a real sense of what she’s doing, how she’s doing, and any things we may need to work on at home. She is engaged, happy and, at this writing, eagerly looking forward to returning to school!
The trust I have for this place and joy my boys have in going here is hard to find now of days.
They were such a support and help to my single parent home during some difficult times. It’s not just a school/
For a few years, we did a lot of searching for the right school that would teach our child Christian views and that would work with him at his pace with his education. In 2012, our prayers were answered and we enrolled our son into KHCS. He started kindergarten there in 2013 and just in that first year, he learned to read at an advanced level because his teacher (Mrs. Stone) saw his potential and kept encouraging him to read at higher levels to fulfill his desire and need to want to learn more. She also encouraged him to learn other academics at his pace so that he would continue to grow in his knowledge every day.
…they truly love each child in their school and always pay attention to the needs of each child individually.
Mr. and Mrs. Wright saw the potential in our son, as well, and, after praying and much thought, it was decided that our son was ready to move ahead in his grade level by one year. The fact that they saw the potential in our child, like we did, spoke volumes. It shows my husband and myself that they truly love each child in their school and always pay attention to the needs of each child individually.
Our son is now reciting Bible verses each month and truly loves reading and quoting verses from the Bible and loves to spread the word of God to others. My husband and I take joy in knowing that God lead us to this wonderful school to raise our son, and that he is able to share our Christian beliefs and have the ability to speak about the word of God during school hours. That is all we have ever wanted and God has truly answered all of our prayers by leading us here.
Our son’s current teacher (Mrs. Garrett) continues to work with our son and encourages him to learn at his pace so that he always stays focused and feels challenged every day. Our son loves this school. Every staff member, parent, child, etc. makes this school feel like a big family. That truly makes my husband and I feel secure in knowing that our son is happy and fulfilled each day that we drop him off for school.
